Summary: MoEngage is seeking an ambitious and talented Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join our team in India. This position will play a key role in improving the functionality and user experience of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both API and UI automation, with a bonus if they have experience in security and performance testing
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for our software solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of API and UI features of our software.
- Regularly execute test scripts and analyze the results for bugs and issues.
- Proactively integrate automated testing protocols into the software development lifecycle to improve product quality.
- Implement industry best practices in test automation to enhance the efficiency and scope of tests.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product expectations and design exhaustive test plans.
- Document and report any bugs, errors, or other issues discovered during testing.
- Develop one-off test scenarios for scalability, performance, and security testing.
Optional Responsibilities
- Execute security-based and performance-based testing as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to ensure that the software adheres to best coding practices.
- Apply analysis to testing results to recommend quality improvements and ensure optimal product functioning.
Desired Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
- Proven work experience in the field of software quality assurance, preferably in a mid-sized product company.
- Extensive experience in software development and software QA.
- In-depth knowledge of API and UI Testing procedures.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Postman, etc.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Prior experience with performance and security testing tools, methods, and techniques will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate well within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
