Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and document software defects and provide feedback to developers.
- Participate in the design and development of automated test scripts.
- Monitor and track software issues and defects.
- Perform manual and automated tests on web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Analyze and document software requirements and user stories.
- Create and maintain test data.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
- Track and report on test progress and results.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, such as test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
Technical Skills
- A QA tester must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or any other related field of study.
- Knowledge/experience as a QA tester or any other similar role.
- Efficient working knowledge of programming languages, test management software, and QA methodologies.
- Must have the proficiency of working well with a team and possess skills of critical thinking.
- Must be familiar with Agile frameworks where regression testing is a plus.
- Remarkable attention to detailing.
- Capable of documenting and troubleshooting errors.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of certain test manager softwares like Zephyr, qTest, and SQL.
- An excellent aptitude for analytical mind and problem-solving.
- Significantly stronger organizational skills.
