Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent individual to join our team as a Software Test Engineer I. As a Software Test Engineer I, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing procedures. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.br>
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design test plans accordingly.
- Create and implement test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and scalability of software applications.
- Identify and document software defects, track their status, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues. .
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously resolved defects do not resurface.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be covered by existing test cases.
- Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on testability aspects of the software.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and standard processes in software testing methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure a high level of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Be involved with many aspects of software quality assurance and some software design and analysis tasks.
- Provide feedback on specifications and designs.
- Learn about software engineering and instrumentation through daily activities..

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Post graduate degree in Biotechnology or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications::
- ISTQB or other software testing certifications.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
