Summary: Toast is scaling rapidly and with that growth comes an exciting new opportunity to join one of our oldest and impactful lines of business in Bangalore. Toast is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the FinTech Integrated Payments team that enables our International & Enterprise integrations.
You will enable restaurants by playing a critical role in testing features in the FinTech domain.The Toast platform processes tens of millions of requests per day, and this number grows constantly as we add new restaurants , integrations , partners to our system and expand to new geographies. You will be one of the impactful technologists in this line of business, accountable for Fintech business growth in the International and Enterprise integration pod team. This is a mission-critical system on which our restaurants rely for their livelihood, so Quality , Reliability and Scalability are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with QA, Product , Design(UI) and Development stakeholders to understand the requirements.
- Executing test plans by running predefined test cases, capturing the test results, sharing test status.
- Creating and implementing comprehensive test cases.
- Testing new features, necessary regressions across our suite of hardware and software products.
- Create defects for requirement deviations.
- Active participation in agile ceremonies to understand priorities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Ability to learn and understand complex business logic and find creative ways to test it.
- Obsessed with Quality and having Quality first mind set.
- Execution as strength and goes the extra mile to find a work around for testing.
- Design and deliver test cases for a significant component of an application, or service.
- Eager to understand the test strategies and methodologies used in your technology domain (and how to best apply them). Example API testing using postman, Web testing (Desktop, Toast Hardware and Mobile Apps), Automated testing using Selenium , Playwright etc and make use of them to complete testing.
- Your test case reviews tend to be rapid and uneventful. You provide useful feedback for changes submitted by others.
- You make improvements to your team’s testing processes and question the defined set of tests.
- You have established good working relationships with team members and peers working on related software.
- Commitment to quality, user experience, and using your “get unblocked” attitude for continuous learning and problem solving.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Other Requirements
- Familiarity with testing strategies and different types of testing done.
- Knowledge on testing pyramids and knowing which test cases add value in the pyramid.
- Familiarity and hands on using Test Automation frameworks for backend and frontend tech stacks.
- Understanding and hands on experience with testing of Fintech,Payments Products and services.
