Summary: The Software Engineer in Test is responsible for the final quality of the product. The role should have a good understanding of the technology stack and the product functionality, should be able to support engineers in the team with technology and should be able to setup a test framework and test cases to test the end-to-end functionality of the product. The role is based out of India at the Transunion office in Bangalore. This role will report to the Quality Manager.
What You'll Bring
- Conduct functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing of web applications.
- Create and execute manual test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Regression testing of existing functionality.
- Experience with testing web services/ microservices.
- Good understanding of testing concepts - metrics, defects life cycle.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, zephyr.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
- knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Manual and Automation Testing.
- Testing Framework like selenium, cucumber etc.
- Hands on experience with programming language java.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plan, test cases and test reports.
- collaborating with agile teams across multiple functional teams.
- Meeting with Business user, PO, and teams to discuss software specifications and functions.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
- Added advantage if worked using linux commands and cloud platforms like GCP/AWS.
