Summary: Our Product development team is responsible for creating highly scalable products for our customers and delivering excellent customer experience. We are looking for strong, enthusiastic self-driven software engineers to join as members of this group. As part of this team, you will have tremendous opportunities in influencing the direction of many of vuNet's critical products for years to come. Your responsibilities will include working closely with other engineering team members, and interacting with product, design, content, business and many other groups to deliver world-class software solutions. Our team is not afraid to question assumptions and given the demand, our team needs to break new grounds from creating entirely new platform architectures, high speed data indexing to storage, go deep into platform scale for streaming data, to innovative ways of looking at combining various modules together for a seamless user experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to take up product development and ability to work with the larger product team, arrive at best architectural approach, choose most appropriate frameworks, code and deliver.
- Our product team is involved in path breaking work across cutting edge technologies as part of our product development. This includes Web app development, Backend services, Data Pipelines, BigData, DevOps, Platform engineering, Quality assurance and Data analytics. After the initial training, you will be assigned to one of these teams.
- In the job, you will work on various technologies and components including React, Python-Django, Java, Golang, Kafka, Kafka Streams, Big Data Systems, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Selenium, Kubernetes, Containers, Cloud technologies and Data Analytics.
- A self starter, who loves to take on hard problems, loves solving service scalability problems, enjoys breaking things and enthusiastic to learn new technologies and working in startup environments.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.
- Embrace good development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing and code reviews.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Programming skills in one of the languages – Javascript, TypeScript, Flutter, Python, Golang, Java, Rust.
- Familiarity with technologies like Linux, Databases, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Big Data will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) will be an added advantage.
