As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) of a software test group, you will apply your knowledge of testing, software testing methodologies, best practices, and proven processes for development and execution of manual, automated test scripts and execute Functional, Regression and automated testing on on-demand and via a CI/CD pipeline to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to our Movement Planner customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • This position is for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will work with his/her team, contribute to technical solutions, perform manual and automation testing, maintenance of the automation framework, suggest improvements and implement them.
  • Develop and executes manual and maintainable automation tests for acceptance, integration, end-to-end, functional, and regression test cases.
  • Should be willing to work with geographically distributed teams within normal business or extended hours.
  • Ability to take ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping other Wabtec team members.
  • Perform design reviews to ensure proposed approach meets functional requirements and follows best practices for developing automated test scripts.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting issues related to the automation tool, VMs, etc. and engage support teams when necessary.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in OR Master’s degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in test automation using industry standard automation tools like Selenium. Good programming skills using Java Script, experience using BDD/TDD framework and ability to understand/run SQL commands in a SAFe/Agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation using Jenkins/Git and deployment process with knowledge of Git and ability to run basic Linux/Unix commands is required.
  • Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management tools such as Rally, xWiki, HP ALM etc.
  • Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure.
